Coping with grief
A pet cannot be replaced one-to-one; each animal has its own personality. The grief process should be sufficiently resolved before the pet's space is reoccupied.
The 4 phases according to Verena Kast
1st phase: Denial
2nd Phase: Emerging Emotions
3rd phase: Search, find, separate
4th Phase: New self- and world-relationship
As these stages progress, creating an area in your home with lasting memories can help you cope with grief. We call this area the Memory Corner .
What comes next?

Take your time with the decision and listen to your gut feeling.
